We have arrived at the third eclipse of the season with the Full Moon in Sagittarius that is exact Friday night at 9:25pm PDT.  If you have been following my posts, then you know that a wormhole is when there are three eclipses in a row instead of two.  The extra lunation provides for an enormous thrust of energy in the realm of transformation.  And though we technically are complete with this current cycle on Saturday, it may take two more weeks till the New Moon that follows on June 7th before we get our land legs back.

I am subject to hyperbole.  Everything is the biggest, the most incredible.  My favorite word is extraordinary, with the third syllable so elongated that this five syllable word turns into a six or seven syllable experience. So, hyperbole aside, this has been the most extraoooooordinary wormhole I’ve ever witnessed.  We have all been yanked up where we were at the very beginning of spring and are in the process of being dropped off into totally brand new territory.

There are a number of astrological phenomena participating in this cycle making it particularly enormous.  Undoubtedly, however, the biggest player in this has been the most recent push of the ongoing three year dance of Pluto and Uranus squaring each other.  They will do this seven times in total and the third of these connections was exact just yesterday.  Having begun in the spring of last year, it will complete itself in the spring of 2015, changing every aspect of life, both the inner landscape and the outer world, for truly they are one and the same.

Pluto and Uranus are the only frequencies of change in astrology.  Pluto changes through destruction and the capacity for a thing to be leveled completely and something new constructed.  Uranus changes through lighting flashes.  A square is an obstacle that forces growth.  We are experiencing this differently, but we are all being squeezed in ways that are compelling us to expand.  The fact that this latest square happened within the confines of the wormhole is part of why these past few weeks have been as unsettling as they have.  It has been a magnificent opportunity to practice acceptance and faith on a very deep level.

The Sun has moved into Gemini, where Venus and Mercury have already set up camp.  In fact, the ruler of the Mind and the ruler of the Heart will be conjunct on Friday, making the Mind/Heart connection a significant part of the energy of this eclipse.  The twins of Gemini invented duality and so it is in this very archetype where duality will be healed.  The Moon is in the opposite sign of Sagittarius, which is the archetype of Higher Truth.  Duality and separation consciousness are a thing of the past; the alchemizing power of a wormhole eclipse has ensured that this is so.  When the Mind and the Heart are congruent with each other, living in this sense of integration is actually very easy to do.  This does not mean that there are no challenges; it simply means that the suffering is optional.

Full Moons are culmination points; the moment of harvest when we can reap the benefits of our past efforts.  This is a wonderful opportunity to take a look and see how far you’ve come since May of last year.  I suspect for most of you, there has been enormous change.  I trust the territory you find yourself in now includes if not everything you desire, at least the willingness to accept what is with more grace and ease than ever before.

When we honor the Full Moon with a ritual, we want to make sure we are practicing gratitude for what we have.  It is a perfect moment for taking inventory and preparing yourself for the dynamic future you are creating.  This Full Moon is conjunct the North Node of Dharma, which means we are all being ushered into the future of our own making.  The truthful nature of the Sagittarius archetype will help you see with clear eyes what you are bringing to the table.

Sagittarius is a fire sign, so make sure you include that element in your ritual this weekend.  Rather than burning things in the spirit of combustion, think of the creative use of fire and light a candle.  Better yet, light a bunch of candles as Sagittarius responds to lots of stimulation.  Consider this moment as the birthday celebration of your new life.  And don’t forget to make a wish before you blow the candles out.

We have come to the next big push in the wormhole cycle with the Solar Eclipse this Thursday at 5:30pm PDT.  It’s a New Moon in Taurus; in fact it’s a veritable party in Taurus with not only the Sun and the Moon there, Mercury, Mars and Venus are in that grounded sign as well.  Taurus makes things very tangible, very present.  We can all expect to get a good dose of reality this week.

Venus does something very interesting in connection with this eclipse.  She has been swiping through the Taurus portion of the cosmos ahead the others in this gathering.  This means that with all of the changes that are upon us, we have the saving grace of the Heart leading the way.  This has been very helpful to us in these past weeks, especially when circumstances haven’t always looked the way we want them to.  Our job is always to know that whatever is happening, it is for our highest good.  This is what Love always sees, so Venus out front has been our great ally.

Just before the eclipse tomorrow, she leaves Taurus and enters Gemini.   Remember the Gemini process of last year?  If not, read my articles from the eclipse season of May and June in 2012 and remind yourself of the healing of Separation that was the hallmark of that time.  Venus returns to that territory now, ensuring that duality is truly a thing of the past.

When duality is healed, it is transformed into polarity.  In this consciousness, we can hold the tension of opposites.  We can be in one frame of mind and simultaneously see its opposite without having to cycle back in an either/or dynamic.  This allows us to let go, surrender, and remember in the midst of a troubling moment who your Source is.  It is not your career, the people in your life or any of the circumstances that surround you.

Someone wrote me yesterday about how scared and sad she is; her future feels very uncertain.  In an effort comfort her, I found myself using the words “Divine Unfolding” as a metaphor for how life moves and has its expression.  I thought a little bit about that image and what it means to live in a world that unfolds.  When something unfolds, it has two primary energy-shapes; the long flat planes of structure and the places where the shape changes very dramatically that we know as a fold.  Those folds have sharp edges and they take us from one alignment and very suddenly thrust us into a completely different orientation.

It’s a little like being thrown upside down and being asked to act as if you are just as upright as ever.  And of course, we are always held in the hands of the Divine Intelligence that is doing the unfolding and therefore we are always taken good care of.  Nonetheless, when we are at the edge of a fold, it can be a groundbreaking, earthshattering shift of positioning that knocks our socks off.  That’s where we are at right now.  Venus returning to Gemini today right before this magical eclipse ensures that we are able to get this in ways that may have eluded us thus far.  Let your life unfold and just witness it.  If you are on the edge, thrust your arms in the air like you’re on a roller coaster ride and enjoy the thrill.  It’s so much better than retracting in fear.

This lunation is terribly important to the process that this wormhole offers us.  We are in the midst of an opportunity to land in brand new territory when this shakeup completes itself next month.  And by territory, I mean consciousness, although that change in consciousness for some will result in new landscapes in your outer world as well.  Because it is an eclipse, the transformation that can happen here is a true restructuring of how you inhabit your life.

The New Moon, seed planting event is always the most potent moment to exercise our free will in any cycle and even more so during an eclipse.  Create powerful intentions for yourself in these next few days and you will be participating mightily in the huge shift that is at hand.  Leave it up to chance and you will feel all the more out of control and at the affect or your world rather than feeling like a powerful co-creator.  You may not get the form you think you are creating, but you can absolutely get the perspective you desire and perspective trumps form every time.

Thursday is the magic day and the New Moon is exact around 5:30pm PDT.  The entire day leading up to that point is what is known as the dark-of-the-moon, where the soil of consciousness is most fertile for the receiving of new seeds of intention.  The reverberations of this eclipse will last for several days after, making the entire weekend fruitful ground as well.  No matter when you choose to honor this moment, do it with grounded gusto, for the earthy sign of Taurus is best met with the body in a physically tangible way.

Taurus rules the throat, so using your voice during this ritual is a very good idea.  Sing, chant, pray out loud; make sound!   Additionally, Taurus is the most luxurious of the archetypes, so the more sensual you can make what you do, the better.  As the first of the three earth signs, I highly recommend taking whatever results from your process, such as a written prayer or creatively expressed set of intentions, and bury it as if it were a seed you were planting; for truly, it is.

We have come to the first eclipse season of 2013.  The eclipses are an extremely important moment in the rhythm of expanding consciousness.  The never-ending interaction of the light of the Sun and the reflection of the Moon is consciousness itself, in a constant dance of expression and reflection.  Every six months, this relentless process is interrupted in order for a true shift to take place.  The breaking of the beam is not unlike what REM sleep and dreaming is to the brain; during that respite, we discard that which is unnecessary and integrate the important stuff and wake up smarter and wiser.  Eclipses do the same for us, but on a larger scale.

Because of the geometrical angles that are currently in place, we are going to experience two Lunar Eclipses with a Solar Eclipse sandwiched in between them.  This three-in-a-row configuration is what is known as a wormhole.  Just like in a sci-fi special effect (or for real, in the world of quantum physics) a wormhole picks you up in one place in time/space and transports you clear across time/space into brand new territory.  Such is the lay of the land from this April 25th through June 7th.  The more aware you are of where you want to go, the more likely you will be to land somewhere you will be happy to be.

A lot has gone on in the past few months.  There have been a number of Fingers of God; dozens of them, in fact.  These are moments where the fork in the road has been undeniable and unavoidable.  Habits and patterns are being dropped like layers of clothes that suddenly become obsolete as things heat up.  I trust that you have been facing these moments of choice by taking the higher road to the best of your ability to do so.

The Uranian Jolt which highlighted the earlier part of this month helped us surge into new realms; often because we had no choice.  Unexpected events and out-of-the-blue occurrences rocked our world and sent us into unchartered territory.  Don’t forget that for every explosion that happened in the outside world, there was equal combustion inside each of us.  There is no “out there” out there and everything we see is simply a reflection of our own consciousness.  As the chaos heats up, it has never been more important to know this on a deep level and return to Love as fast as you possibly can every time you are knocked off balance.

This past weekend should have offered some clarity about the impulses you have been feeling building up for the past three weeks.  It is finally time to take action.  It has never been more important to be mindful about whatever choices you make, for any action taken over the next six weeks will have profound repercussions as you move into the future you are creating.  If you thought that the phenomenon of thought manifesting instantly into form has been increasing of late, get ready for more, because a wormhole multiplies that process abundantly!

Most of the focal energy that we are working with now is in the sign of Taurus.  Over time, the faster planets move around in what is known as splash/gather/splash/gather.  That is, they splash around in a spread out distribution, and then gather together in a bunch.  We are currently in a period of a gather, where the inner planets are traveling in what is essentially a group formation, moving through the signs together.  In February, the focus was in Pisces where we all took a dive into the inner domain of the Collective Unconscious.  Then, late March into April was Aries in nature where the thrust of new beginnings and out of the blue occurrences came seemingly from nowhere.   We are now entering into the Taurus portion of our journey, making the next six weeks a key time in the manifestation process, as Taurus connects to the tangible energy of Form.

On Thursday of this week, the Full Moon will be exact at 12:57pm PDT, making that afternoon and evening a perfect time to do a serious assessment of what it is you are up to in the world.  Since the Moon is in the alchemizing energy of Scorpio and the Sun is in the grounded, earthy sign of Taurus, the entire wormhole is characterized by creating what you desire concretely in the here and now.

It’s always best to start with what is, and that’s a great use of the Full Moon’s energy.  If you still feel a little lost about what you are up to creating for yourself, start with making a gratitude list for what you currently have in your life (always an excellent Full Moon ritual, by the way).  There will be a chance to plant seeds of intention with the New Moon on May 9th and another chance to recognize your Higher Truth with the third lunation of the worm hole, the Full Moon in Sagittarius on May 24th.  I will write before each of these to guide your journey through each of those moments.  For now, prepare yourself to have a sacred evening of magnificent self-expression Thursday night.  In terms of designing a ritual for yourself, consider this: What would you do to celebrate being a mystical person of enormous power if you were just that.  Then remember that you are and have at it!

Don’t forget that Saturn and the North Node of the Moon are both in Scorpio all year long (and longer).  That puts an enormous amount of energetic emphasis on the Scorpio consciousness which always includes its opposite sign, Taurus.  Back in 2012, I was pointing out that Saturn (the Teacher) and the North Node of the Moon (the Future) in Scorpio (the Alchemist), makes for this year and most of next year very much about being responsible for the power that we all wield as co-creators of our experience.

Think of this worm hole as a frenzied upgrade into higher ground as far as generating your own destiny goes.  We are doing this all the time whether we are aware of it or not.  With awareness, we create the life of our dreams.  Without it, what we create comes straight out of our unconscious Shadow.  Both versions lead us to our perfect destiny, but which route would you prefer?  The choice is yours.

The New Moon in Aquarius is this weekend.  It will be exact on Saturday night, February 9th at 11:20pm PST.  The most potent timing in a New Moon cycle is in the hours leading up to when it is exact.  This has a very sexy name and is known as the Dark-Of-The-Moon.  Since the actual timing of this particular lunation is late on Saturday night for those on the west coast and early Sunday morning for you easterners and my friends in the UK, Saturday night is the ripest timing for a New Moon ritual.

By now we all understand that we have the ability to set intentions with every breath that we take.  Even so, it behooves us to honor the seed-planting moment of the New Moon.  This gives us a chance to elevate the idea of intention-setting to its highest level.  Ritualizing the process helps ground into our consciousness the influence we wield as the creators of our own destiny.  And this particular New Moon is being assisted by some significant planetary mojo in Pisces, through which we have direct access to the limitless power to create and manifest.

Mercury is entering the beginning of his next retrograde cycle in the sign of Pisces.  He is still moving forward at this point, but he is covering territory that he will be revisiting from the end of February into March.  Remember that there are currently no backward pulling energies to inhibit forward movement (read my last article for more on this).  The fact that Mercury is in this position right now means he will retrace his steps just ahead and actually assist us in generating that which we set into motion with this New Moon experience.

Mercury (the Mind) is not alone in this Piscean sea of possibility.  He is currently keeping company with Mars (form and energy), Neptune (the mystical force that supports us from the invisible realms) and Chiron (the healing that transmutes all wounds into mastery).  He will make contact with each of these planets three times and the Sun twice between now and the middle of March.  Seeds planted this weekend will get lots of support over the next six weeks.

Before anything can exist in form, it must first exist in the imagination and Pisces is that formless, imaginative state through which we bring forth all that we desire.  This Piscean thrust of energy will go a long way to help us to bring into the world all our ideas for the future.  But there is a caveat; what you are up to had also better serve the greater good as well as your own.

Aquarius is the archetype that governs the concept of community, so doing this with others is definitely the way to go!  This often misunderstood archetype has a beautiful story.  Before there was life, Aquarius had a deep and profound knowing that something was missing.  He didn’t know what it was, but was committed to finding it.  On his quest, he discovered water and brought it back to the community.  Water allowed for life to begin and flourish.  If you can’t actually do a ritual with others sometime this weekend, do your best to share your intentions with your immediately community of soul-trekkers.

Bring the Life Force to your world.  Call your friends and set some intentions at the group level this weekend!  And while you’re at it, make sure that whatever you are intending to create for yourself is also good for humanity.  Right now, we need all the help we can get.

Hello to everyone and no, I haven’t fallen off the face of the planet! I have moved into a bit of a retreat mode while I am working on my next book and much of my energy has been focused on that endeavor.

As you may have noticed, I prefer to generate Astro-alerts only when there is something fairly big going on. We are entering a period that merits a close look, so I thought I’d send out a short overview of the current landscape in advance of the New Moon in Aquarius on February 9th.

Take a look at where you were at in mid-June of this past year. That is when Jupiter, the frequency of expansion consciousness, moved into Gemini. This began a deep and profound process of reevaluating how we experience abundance in our lives. Please remember that abundance is about Love in all its forms and not just money. Jupiter in Gemini is the driving force that has been helping us heal duality and separation, ending forever the notion that there is anything outside of yourself that will fix you. If there is something you desire, you must first create it within your Self. If you can truly hold it in your own consciousness, then it is yours for the having in the world of form.

During the overwhelming eclipse season this past November and December; a lot was going on in the depths of our psyche, both personal and collective. Just before that process began, Jupiter went retrograde; essentially causing us to go inward, integrating the new belief system we have been so diligently focused on developing. Yesterday, Jupiter went direct, delivering us to the next chapter of our journey. This will be heralded by a profound outward shift into the world with our newly minted consciousness intact, whether we are ready or not. It’s a little like being thrown out of the nest and not knowing if you are quite ready to fly.

Over the next few days, Jupiter will retrace over the point of the eclipse on November 28th of last year, effectively triggering (or really re-triggering) the issues that were brought up then. If you have been doing your inner work with diligence, you will indeed be flying where perhaps earlier in your development you were trudging. There are absolutely no planets in a retrograde position for the next three weeks. That makes this an incredible opportunity for making plans for the future. Take advantage of this and put your vision into high gear. The New Moon on the 9th will be a big part of this process and I will make sure to give you some guidance about how to best take advantage of that energy when we get closer to it.

In the meantime: Make the plan, pick up the phone, write the proposal, have the conversation, mend the relationship even if it means leaving it, quit the job, start the job, submit the application. Whatever is next for you, and only you can know what that is, now is the time to step into risk and take action. A rare moment of no backward pulling retrogrades is one of the best periods to move outward into the world with nothing to hold you back. Mama has thrown you out of the nest and she would never do that unless you were truly ready to soar. Check out your new wings, you may be delighted at how high you can fly.

The Winter Solstice is on Friday and is perhaps the most anticipated date in our lifetime.

There has been so much said about what this date means.  Some of it is grounded in a bit of science and much of it lands in the very far reaches of the mystical.  My desire is to find a place somewhere in between these two perspectives and my hope is that you find some inspiration to take some time on Friday and allow whatever is possible in this experience to occur for you in the most magnificent way you are available for it.

The essence of this moment in time is that it marks a turning point in the revolution of the Solar System’s position in our Galaxy.  We have arrived at the Alpha/Omega point in the orbit that we make around our Galactic Center.  This is thought to take roughly twenty-six thousand years to complete itself; a fact now rooted in science.  The Mayans apparently understood this cycle long before today’s Astro-physicists figured it out in modern mathematical terms.

This is fairly astonishing in and of itself.  That the Mayan calendar appears to “end” with this solstice is a matter of some debate and one which I have no interest in picking up.  What does interest me, however, is that the collective consciousness of the planet is now focused intently on this moment and calling it powerful.  Now THAT is something to get excited about.

In the article that I wrote on November 26th, I talked about how the eclipse season was marked by an enormous energy known as a Finger of God.  This aspect is making another wave this week and the first hit occurs Thursday, while the close of it happens on Saturday – literally sandwiching the Solstice in between a profound expansion that connects directly with the changes that this past month has brought you.

Fortunately, the planet that instigates this next Finger of God wave is Jupiter, the frequency of abundance and expansion.  And though the shift in your journey that it is creating may be made with or without your consent, there is an adage in astrology that says “there are no bad Jupiter transits.”  Truly, the direction-change that this week brings us all is over-the-top in the yummy way that Jupiter always brings.

Part of what makes up a Finger of God is two planets tugging on each other in an agitated fashion that demands a change, a shift in perspective or a new choice to be made.  This usually results in an opportunity to put down an old path and pick up a new one.  When this is navigated well, it can mean leaving that pattern behind forever.  Two of these happening simultaneously from two different directions is what brings the element of Divine Intervention into the picture, like an unstoppable force for change.

Because Jupiter is at the head of this cosmic figure, the change HAS to be for your benefit.  And because it also involves Pluto on one hand, the change is going to be transformational and profound.  And because the other pull is created by Saturn, the nature of the shift has Kharma written all over.  These three social planets working together could mean that your exterior life is changing dramatically.  Roll with it and you will be profoundly supported into the New World Order that is being generated by the Solstice.

The nature of the Winter Solstice relates to the fact that is it the shortest day with the least amount of light available in the Northern Hemisphere.  As such, we must turn inward to find the light within ourselves in order to find peace.   And in this very challenging time when Peace with a capital P is difficult to see in our outer experience, it becomes even more important to find it inside ourselves.

We MUST do this to actually create Peace on Earth in a very real, practical fashion; for this is how we will heal our planet at long last.  It is already happening one Soul at a time.  As more and more people turn toward heart-centered living, we are that much closer to a fully uplifted world.  It doesn’t matter if the hard evidence of this is something that any of us will see in our lifetime.  We MUST be responsible to this possibility so that future generations will be able to stand on our shoulders and bring about the transformation that is already well underway.

The Solstice is about the dark outside of us and the light we can create from within, so whatever ritual you do, let it start with darkness.  Once you acclimate to what it feels like to recognize the absence of light on the outside, begin to add lights of your own.  The power moment is around 3:11am PST on Friday morning when the Sun actually crosses over from Sagittarius into Capricorn.  My plan is to wake in darkness and light a fire in the fireplace without turning on any lights other than the candles I light.

You do not need to do this in the wee hours if that is more than your lifestyle can handle.  It is JUST AS POWERFUL to take fifteen minutes in the middle of the day and light a candle to symbolize the force within you to create light where there appears to be none.  At the very least, make the first light you generate when you wake up on Friday morning a candle as opposed to something electric.

We come to the end of the wormhole at last.  On Thursday morning of this week, the New Moon in Sagittarius will deliver us to where we have been hurtling toward for the past four weeks.  In my article from last month, I wrote that you might not recognize the territory you find yourself when this journey is over.  When I looked back at that particular line, I don’t know if I have ever written more prophetic words.  The landscape of my life and so many lives around me is wildly altered.

The exact moment of the New Moon is Thursday at 12:40am PST, making Wednesday evening the fertile ground into which we will plant our seeds of intention for the new world we are creating.  Not surprisingly, Wednesday also happens to be 12/12/12, a rather enormous portal of expanding consciousness.  In addition, the rather quiet planetary activity of the last week or is broken by Venus meeting up with the North Node of the Moon.  Wednesday is an important day, so let me explain what all of this means.

When the planets are very active, we experience a great deal of activity ourselves.  Four weeks ago when the wormhole picked us up, the planets were going a bit crazy with all sorts of very “coincidental” movement (you can go back to my last two articles if you want more about this).  We felt their interactions reflected in the activation of our own lives:  Things were happening!  When they are less engaged with each other, as they have been for the past week, digestion and integration is the name of the game.   We are not stopped, exactly, but we have slowed to a gentler landing, just in time to begin the next leg of our journey, which the Sagittarius New Moon is exemplifying.

This quiet stretch is broken on Wednesday by Venus, the frequency of Love, making contact with the North Node, the point in the cosmos that represents the future, our destiny and the direction that life is moving.  This is a very benevolent energy and there is something delightfully ironic about this loving gesture, as if the cosmos is saying, “There, there.  I know it’s been a rough ride, but I ASSURE you that I love you and that this has all been for your benefit.”  I implore you to trust this idea, for Love and Gratitude will pay off great dividends right now.

The changes of the past four weeks should have been dramatic indeed.  And whether you see what is happening in your life right now as marvelous and exciting – or terrifying and dangerous, your judgments about this are irrelevant.  What Venus is saying to us is that it’s ALL good, it’s ALL love and it’s ALL in support of your magnificent life unfolding perfectly, even when it feels bumpy and inspires you to wonder if it should be happening the way it’s happening.  Wednesday is one more opportunity to surrender.

With regard to the 12/12/12 date, there has been a lot written about this as a profound portal of energy, shift and expanding consciousness.  I can only express what my experience is or what my knowledge explains and that is this:  Many people on the planet are holding space for this date to be an important experience.  That, in and of itself, brings great power.  Additionally, my own personal experience last year on 11/11/11 was very expansive and I have an expectancy that this year’s version of that will bring the same.  That there is a New Moon at the end of this day AND that it is the end of a wormhole would certainly be enough for me to call your attention to it.  The added power of a collectively held date of significance may also pack an enormous power into what is already a pretty big punch.

Sagittarius is all about Higher Truth and Knowledge.  The New Moon is also at the 22nd degree of Sagittarius and 22 is a master number in the world of numerology representing Divine Creativity.  We are all being introduced to whatever the masterful versions of our Selves at this level of our development.  Here’s where it isn’t important how you’re seeing your life circumstances.  Say YES to your higher truth, even if you don’t know what that is.  What your Mind tells you about your life doesn’t matter.  Live in the mystery and declare your readiness to do so.  Before you go to bed on Wednesday night, write a declaration on a piece of paper and place it under your pillow.  Something like:  “I allow myself the freedom to live in my highest truth even when I don’t know what that is.”

Time is not slowing down.  The bad news about that is that whatever patterns you are stuck in are going to increase their stranglehold on you the moment they come up.  The good news is that with very little adjustment, you can initiate enormous change in your circumstances by shifting your perception of them.  You do not do this with your Mind; you do this with your Heart.  You do not have to know HOW to do this; you need only the desire to do it.  The Heart has enormous intelligence; use it.  To do so, you must be willing to step off into the abyss.  You may find the bottom is just below your feet and that it was there all the time.

The wormhole that we are in gets stirred up in a big way this week starting right now.  What will undoubtedly feel like good news to most of you is that Mercury goes direct today.  And while that will indeed feel like a bit of a relief, there is more to this than meets the eye.  You can expect this entire week to be as intense a time as we have had of late.

When Mercury is retrograde, his unyielding attention is toward the inner landscape, which causes us to put the brakes on quite a bit.  When he turns around, we can begin moving forward in ways that we have been chomping at the bit to do during his backward trek.  This always offers us a sense of expansion, but remember he is in Scorpio.  The cauldron has been boiling and tumbling, creating an atmosphere of intense change and shift.  In this way, his outward glance means that we will begin focusing outward into our environment in a way that will force us to put our money where our mouths are with regard to taking the higher road in all our interactions.

On Thanksgiving Day, the Sun moved out of Scorpio and into Sagittarius.  This had the effect of essentially turning down the heat in the Scorpio realm and focusing the Light of Life in the Sagittarian consciousness of Truth and Clarity.  But the very next day, Venus moved herself into Scorpio, bringing matters of the Heart fully into the alchemical mix.

Tomorrow, Venus will meet up with Saturn and when the guardian of the Emotional Body (Venus) meets up with the Karmic Teacher (Saturn), there is a great deal of emphasis put on issues of self-esteem and issues of deserving love.  And where Saturn is, there is always a test of sorts.  Part of the punch this week packs connects to this powerful dynamic where we will be confronted with either the reward of truly actualized self-love and self-care, or the consequences of avoiding that difficult work.

In my last article, I wrote a great deal about Mars’ journey and how his movement illuminates our relationship with our bodies.  And while this does include a literal interpretation as it relates to treating the body well, Mars also connects to our grounded experience of being human in this three dimensional world.  We are living through a dramatic thinning of the veil between the visible world and the invisible world.  The movement of Mars exemplifies our experience of staying present for what we must attend to moment to moment while still maintaining a practiced and disciplined conscious contact with the Divine.

Mars meets up with Pluto on Wednesday.  Are you using the power of prayer before EVERY interaction you are having and EVERY choice you must make?  If not, you might want to step up to the plate, because what we are being asked to do right now is nothing short of this sort of vigilance.  When the ruler of the Physical World (Mars) meets up with the Lord of the Underworld (Pluto), WATCH OUT.

Here comes the kicker.  These two meetings of Venus with Saturn and Mars with Pluto are powerful enough on their own.  The fact that they happen a day apart is even more profound.  That they happen exactly sixty degrees of each other makes it over the top.  That they occur simultaneously with a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse is outrageous.  That the entire configuration is related in such a way as to have an actual name in Astrology is just ridiculous.  And in case you haven’t yet grasped how huge these energies are, maybe the name for this particular shape in space will bring it home for you: It’s called a Finger of God.

A Finger of God is a long, narrow triangle in the cosmos that causes the power of the Divine to point the way.  Perhaps “point the way” is too gentle, for there is nothing subtle about this action. This week will have its way with you, whether you go gracefully or kicking and screaming.  The three points of this triangle relate to your self-love (Venus and Saturn), how well you are allowing yourself to be simultaneously in the here and now, but CONSTANTLY connected to the Divine (Mars and Pluto) and, yes, you guessed it, the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse.

It does not matter how you do your particular version of connecting to Source.  All roads lead to God, and this is so because there is truly only one place to get to.  What does matter is how persistently and vigilantly you are in doing it.  This is not about a morning practice or how often you sit down to meditate.  Right now, you should care far less about what you do behind closed doors and be very concerned with how you are living all day long, every single moment. Are you aware of your breathing; not just in yoga class, but with every breath you take?  Are you feeling the sensations of your body; not just when you are exercising, but all day as you move through space?  Are you picking up the tool of prayer; not just at the beginning or end of the day when it feels natural to do in a formal way, but to such an extent that you actually replace constant chatter of your monkey-mind with an ongoing conversation with God?

Such is the relentlessness of this time.  Fortunately, the eclipse can help with the alchemy that will assist you in raising the level of your practice.  The Full Moon is exact on Wednesday, November 28th at 6:44am PST.  The entire week is ripe with opportunity to create permanent and irrevocable shifts in your consciousness.  Mercury going direct today is such a gift, for the inner journey of the last few weeks will pay off dividends that you may not even be aware of.  Trust that you are doing the absolute best you are able to at this point in your development.  But please, do the work.  We need you:  Now, more than ever.

A foolproof Full Moon ritual is to intend the release of that which no longer serves you.  It’s also a great time to take stock of what in your life fills your heart with joy, for gratitude is a very powerful tool for expansion and attraction.  The Moon is in Gemini, making the written word very powerful  At some point in your week, take a moment to create a fear list and a gratitude list.  Write out all the things that inspire fear in your experience and when you feel as complete with that as you can, burn it.  Once the energy of that has cleared away, attend to the gratitude list which you may want to save.  I suggest doing these at separate times with at least one night’s sleep between them.  The entire week is so fertile; I don’t think any one time is more potent than any other.  But I implore you to take advantage of this moment and allow yourself to be delivered to higher ground.  The bar is being raised.  Are you in?

The first eclipse of the season is a total Solar Eclipse in Scorpio that occurs this Tuesday, November 13th.  The Lunar Eclipse follows two weeks later on the 28th, putting Thanksgiving right in the middle of this wormhole.  When we emerge next month, we may not even recognize the territory we are in.

With the domain of Scorpio fully upon us, I have been putting much emphasis on manifestation and alchemy as the central principles of the time.  But at the very heart of the matter is change.  Things are changing.  Fast.  And our job is to be responsible stewards of change, lest the direction those changes take us in goes against our vision.

Let’s talk about Mars for a bit, for he plays an interesting role in both eclipses.  During this New Moon, Mars is at 27 degrees of Sagittarius.  This placement is considered to be the direction of our galactic center, the very place where we connect to Source.  What this does is orient the consciousness of Mars with the very origins of our Divinity.  Mars is the ruler of our physicality, bringing our relationship to the body fully into our awareness.

There are those who say, “You are not your body.”  Well, that may actually be true on some level, but the fact is that we are IN bodies.  Another perspective is that this world we inhabit is an illusion; therefore the body is an illusion as well.  This may also be true.  However, the body, illusory or not, is still the very real vessel through which we experience this illusion and it must be brought into the spiritual equation at this time.

Mars has historically been associated with the Masculine Principle through his moniker of being the God of War.  Through his association with the physical body coupled with the current landscape where Feminine Principle regains power, Mars can now be considered the co-ruler of the Feminine Principle along with Venus.  As human beings in a body, we must allow our bodies to be open vessels for Love and Light.   The only way to truly achieve that integrated balance is to treat your body with care and devotion.

Make no mistake about it; it is time to bring the body into your spiritual practice.  Proper food and exercise are good, but they are not really what I am talking about here.  I am speaking of loving the body you are in.  Don’t ask yourself how you feel about the way your body looks, focus rather on how your body feels to be inside of.  When you start there, then the externals of feeding it well and moving it through space so that it is strong and flexible will come more naturally.

Most importantly, begin thinking about how you treat your body as part of your daily spiritual practice.  Your body is simply an extension of your consciousness.  As your consciousness expands upward, allow it to expand outward as well, bringing your body along for the ride.

Remember too, that the physical body is a metaphor for all things in the world of form.  A balanced, heart-based relationship with your world means that your Divinity takes top priority in all things.  What are you valuing and how?  Your bank account?  Your status?  How other people perceive you?  If it is anything outside of you, then you are worshiping a false God.

There are two ways to approach a New Moon Solar Eclipse and both have merit.  One the one hand, an eclipse is a very definite event.  While the beam is broken and the shadow of the Moon passes over the Earth, an actual change is taking place right then.  The interruption in the constant flow of light from the Sun to the Moon is a lot like powering down your computer.  When you power back up again, all the software (read = all the new ways of being in the world, new thought patterns, new expressions of consciousness) that you have recently downloaded now become fully available for you to use.

Given the enormity of such a moment, it behooves us to be in a place of stillness when this is occurring in order to take full advantage of the opportunities at hand without the distractions of your chaotic mind being involved.  The exact time of the eclipse is Tuesday, November 13th at 2:12pm PST.  For my UK friends, you may be sleeping while the eclipse is happening.  Not to worry, as sleep is a great state to receive the energies of an eclipse.  For those of you who are awake for this, simply be in a meditative, receptive state for about ten minutes before the peak of the eclipse and about ten minutes after.  If you think of the half hour between 2:00 and 2:30pm PST as your guide, you can’t go wrong.

The other opportunity in such a lunation is to honor the impetus for change that a New Moon indicates.  The wave created by this Tuesday moment will continue to push us forward in our evolution for several days through the end of the week.  Take some time this week to plant some seeds of intention so that you are being fully and actively engaged in harnessing the winds of change that are blowing all around you at this time.  Focus on being graceful and flexible with the shifts that are already taking place in your life right now.  Make sure that you include body-care as part of the consciousness you desire to create for yourself at this time.  Step up to your spiritual practice as if it were the top priority in your life; this is the time to deepen your devotion in everything that you do.  Try this as a prayer:
